10 Irresistible Quentin Tarantino Spin-Offs That Definitely Deserve To Be Made

6. The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad

€œDo you find me sadistic? You know, Kiddo, I'd like to believe that you're aware enough even now to know that there's nothing sadistic in my actions. At this moment, this is me at my most masochistic.€

Who? A group of lethal assassins consisting of Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman), O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu), Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox), Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah), Budd (Michael Madsen) and led by Bill (David Carradine). In the Kill Bill films, after Beatrix gets pregnant she runs off and tries to get married, but is found by Bill and the other DeVAS and they kill the wedding party and put Beatrix into a coma. So in the movies, they become the target of Beatrix€™s revenge. But how much fun would it be to see Tarantino do a film about the DeVAS before Beatrix€™s pregnancy and the group€™s disbanding? Or more than that, why exactly did the group disband? By the time Beatrix awakens from her coma, Vernita is a housewife, O-Ren is a crime boss in Japan, Budd is working at a strip club (and there€™s a suggestion of some animosity since Bill mentions they haven€™t spoken in a while), and Elle seems to be the only one still working with Bill. Likelihood? Extremely unlikely. For one, David Carradine passed away in 2009 and you cannot recast the role of Bill, as Carradine made that his own. If it could be done with Bill as a background figure, never actually seen, that might be possible, but without Carradine€™s presence, you lose a lot of what made the DeVAS so great. Two, Tarantino has already backed away from a potential follow-up focusing on Vernita and Beatrix€™s daughters, so he doesn€™t seem interested in doing any more Kill Bill films. Fair enough, but can we at least get The Whole Bloody Affair on DVD already?
