6. Linda Blair
At the age of 15, Linda Blair received an Oscar nomination in the Supporting Role category for her unforgettable performance as Regan in William Friedkin's masterful supernatural horror The Exorcist. The problem is that delivering one of cinema's all-time most iconic performances essentially caused her to become typecast, and subsequently she largely played in Exorcist sequels and parodies that required her to provide a cameo appearance. Sure, she has appeared in her fair share of horror films over the years, but none that have fashioned a memorable new character for her; the feeling coming out of it is always, "Oh, it's that girl from The Exorcist." Given that the latest entry on her filmography is a TV film and her first work in 5 years, I think it's safe to say that her star has well and truly faded for good.
