10 Legacy Sequel Movies Everyone Actually Wants To See
6. Bigger Trouble In Little China
Big Trouble in Little China is one of the most iconic action-adventure films of the 1980s, brought to ludicrously entertaining life by an arguably never-better Kurt Russell and the top-of-his-game directorial chops of John Carpenter.
Though a box office flop upon release, Big Trouble has endured over the last 35+ years as a cult classic - a wonderfully unhinged genre film that, in a just world, would've spawned a glut of sequels.
But we'll settle for just one new movie that dusts off an aged Jack Burton (Russell) for another go-around, and all the better if the semi-retired Carpenter can be lured back to direct.
Hell, bring back James Hong - who recently wowed in Everything Everywhere All At Once - to make a cameo as the first film's somehow-still-alive villain, David Lo Pan.
Sadly due to the original film's commercial failure, it's far more likely we're going to end up with the oft-whispered-about soft reboot, which has been in development since 2015 with Dwayne Johnson set to star.
There's no guarantee that either this quasi-reboot or a legacy sequel actually ends up getting made, but there are millions of fans of Carpenter's original who would love to see an older Jack Burton back in the fray again.
