10 Lessons Comic Book Movies Can Learn From Guardians Of The Galaxy

8. Embrace Cuteness

As established already, superhero films take themselves way too seriously, and the key for Guardians is that it excels at cracking jokes as well as throwing in some good old fashioned Pixar style cuteness. With THAT Groot ending scene, Rocket's whole badass Racoon thing going on and a hilarious post credit scene, it showed a level of creative maturity and variety in tone that no other film has in recent memory. While maturity and cutesy gags might in the surface be an odd combination of words, what other superhero movie would be brave enough to finish their story with a dancing plant? You can bet Batman VS Superman won't, that's for damn sure. Take a lesson from this and the upcoming Marvel Pixar collaboration Big Hero 6 and embrace heartwarming cutesy visual gags. No matter how old you are, you're never too old to have fun. Even if you're a professional hitman these cutesy moment are a sure fire way to melt your heart and have you clapping your hands with glee... and if they don't? Well, you're hollow and dead inside.
