Love or hate movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, it doesn't seem unfair to say that the DC Extended Universe got off to a disastrous start. Whether it was disappointing box office results or a mauling from critics, it felt like Warner Bros. just couldn't do anything right. Now, though, things are finally starting to turn around.

10. The Batman Could Be A "Year Two" Story
The Batman director Matt Reeves has dropped a lot of hints about his movie taking place early on in the Caped Crusader's career, and that's reportedly going to include us getting to find out how Bruce Wayne became known as the World's Greatest Detective. However, before you start fretting about us getting yet another origin story, a report from The Wrap points to this being a "Year Two" story.
In other words, Bruce will have been Batman for just over a year when this story begins and while that means he's a somewhat inexperienced crime fighter, he won't be a complete amateur. There also won't be any need to watch him get to grips with being a superhero, and the movie can gloss over predictable moments like Batman getting his first suit and taking down his first bad guy.
Honestly, it sounds like the best possible approach, especially as we've never really spent time with a Batman at this point in his career. Instead, he usually goes from being a rookie vigilante to the most dominant force in Gotham City in the blink of an eye and Reeves now has the opportunity to elaboriate on the in-between part of that.
