9. Nick Fury Will Be A Skrull Imposter For Most Of It

With Samuel L. Jackson portraying a younger version of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Director, an image emerged the other month of the actor emerged in a green cast. It's the kind of prosthetic required when digital alterations are required of certain characters, but the image raised another question - could Nick Fury be a Skrull?

While it's unlikely that the Nick Fury of the present is a Skrull, don't be surprised to see some theatrics involving the Skrulls during the film. The lifecast used also had a green hue, and with the Skrulls set to shake-up the action in a significant way, there's a chance we could also see just how Nick lost his eye all those years ago.

In The Winter Soldier, Nick ruminates on his lost organ, saying that "the last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye." Betrayal is the name of the game when it comes to espionage of course, and while it could be any old spy that robbed Fury of his 20/20 vision, who's to say that a Skrull posing as a trusted ally wasn't the one who maimed him?

In any case, after this photo, Fury is a prime contender for being impersonated at one stage in the film or another.
