4. The Raid: Redemption
http://youtu.be/uWlmhMSnVdM Gone are the days of well-staged and choreographed fight scenes that don't rely on heavy CGI and quick editing. Wait, what's that you say, The Raid: Redemption? You are that movie for a new generation? Let's just see you put your money where your mouth is... Oh. Oh, wow. Did you just shoot a guy in the face close range, multiple times? Is that a machete I see flying around? Who is this Mad Dog guy? HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS? The Raid: Redemption is a basic masterpiece course in brutality that pulses on pure adrenaline. The energy never seems to waver and with the promise of two more movies to come, we may be looking at an action trilogy the likes of which hasn't been seen since Ong Bak. And the story not only isn't sacrificed for the fight scenes, it doesn't slow the movie down at all and actually makes the fights that much more intense. I ask again, The Raid: Redemption, "HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS?"
