10 Marvel Characters Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Could Play In The MCU

7. Adam Warlock

The Rock Hercules
Marvel Comics

It has been four long years since Adam Warlock was teased at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, and though there has still been no sign of him on screen since, it has at least given everyone time to fan cast him. Most will go with the likes of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Matthew McConaughey, or even Charlie Hunnam, to match the character’s comic look, but what about The Rock?

No, Dwayne Johnson doesn’t look anything like Adam Warlock from the comics, but since when is Marvel Studios taking creative liberties with character's aesthetics anything new? Just look at Heimdall, The Ancient One, or Zemo’s lack of mask.

What is important for the character however, is that he is supposed to be the perfect specimen. A marvel of both physical and mental perfection. Dwayne Johnson could easily fit this bill. If Ayesha is going to make a physically superior specimen, it probably wouldn’t look too dissimilar to The Rock.

Plus, if Marvel decide to go down the Magus route for the character's arc, pitting him against his own evil alter ego, The Rock’s history of playing heroes, villains, and everything in between would put him in good stead for a strong performance in both sides of the character.
