10 Marvel Cinematic Universe Characters We Wouldn't Mind Being Recast

7. Paula Patton Replacing Zoe Saldana As Gamora

Gam 0 Looking at someone like Zoe Saldana, it's hard to justify why anyone would argue a casting change. However, there are variable differences in the actress that really do not fit the role. Gamora is an extremely sultry character, that has multiple love interests in the comics; mainly Nova, but includes a stint with Adam Warlock. Both these actresses have great roles under their belts in front of the camera. Saldana's ability to portray a comic book character on screen is not in question. It's her direct look and...well, to put it simply, curves, she is missing "up top" a lot of what Gamora displays. Paula Patton has a more balanced figure and a close facial profile to the character. Without the intention of appearing like a wild fanboy, the choice is purely from aesthetics and not one of dislike for Saldana. Recognizing simply that she is a hot commodity in the film industry at the moment, especially in genre films; Saldana is on a short list for any number of films these days.

I'm a writer, a published author, and editor for a small independent publishing house. I'm an award winning producer of independent media, and I get to edit books, screenplays, and comics in my day to day. I love working on independent film & games, during my down time, as well as reviewing films while gobbling down milk duds (it's an addiction, I know). I've been called "Geek-Prime" among my peers for all the fandoms I work in, and I wear that title proudly. It's a passion, and an exercise in my growing profession, to get to write about what I love. Which happens to be a little of everything. But mostly film, comics, horror, games, anime, literature, and life. I do write about academic material, like politics, medicine, physics, and mathematics too. But for the most part, I like to keep things down to earth and simple. Follow me on Twitter & Facebook
