10 Marvel Franchises That Could Replace The Avengers

9. Champions

There are actually two separate incarnations of the Champions, one from 1975 that featured Hercules, Black Widow and Ghost Rider (an eclectic mix, some would say), and another from 2016 that spotlighted Nova, Ms. Marvel and Miles Morales' Spider-Man specifically.

The latter comic bungled its premise on countless occasions, but it does present the most potential to Marvel Studios. The roster features some of Marvel's most popular characters, with Kamala Kahn and Miles Morales in particular having garnered a massive following since their introductions earlier in the decade, and in honing in on a younger, more different kind of Avengers, Marvel could find their next big thing.

Nova is sure to be introduced either in Avengers 4 or Guardians 3, and with Miles confirmed to exist in the MCU at a time where his media profile is experiencing exponential growth, it's likely that Marvel will look to include him sooner, rather than later.

By far the most important character to include, however, is Kamala. She's gone from strength to strength since her introduction, and could easily become a fan-favourite hero in the cinematic realm, should she be given the chance to make an appearance.
