10 Marvel Villains GUARANTEED To Join MCU
7. The Magus
Adam Warlock is one of the most important characters in the Marvel Universe's cosmic roster, but he's thus far only been hinted at in the MCU. His name was spoken as his cocoon was shown in the end credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but he's yet to manifest.
It's widely believed that he will finally make an appearance in the third Guardians film, and as anyone who has read the comics know, where Adam Warlock goes, The Magus is sure to follow. In the books, The Magus is the dark aspect of Adam Warlock, having been created via the Infinity Gauntlet.
While his origin will need to be changed for the MCU now that the Infinity Stones have been destroyed, it's likely The Magus will make an appearance as long as Adam Warlock does — it's just a matter of time. The Magus is older than his progenitor and possesses only negative aspects of Warlock's personality.
He went back in time to rule a religious empire called the Universal Church of Truth and manipulated Adam into ensuring his own creation. The Magus is a high-level cosmic threat, and he could be Phase Four's "big bad" if that's how Marvel wants to play it.
