He's the man who brought the Avengers together, so surely Nick Fury is the most glaring omission from Avengers: Infinity War. Shouldn't the one-eyed SHIELD agent be there when the heroes make their final stand?
Samuel L Jackson has repeatedly confirmed that his character is skipping Avengers 3 and will make his next Marvel Cinematic Universe outing in the '90s-set Captain Marvel, with both of his eyes intact, no less.
A recent set leak suggests he will join the fray in next year's Avengers 4, but Marvel has some explaining to do regarding his whereabouts of late, since he was absent in Captain America: Civil War too.
The latest rumours suggest Fury could be tracking the Red Skull, who hasn't been seen in the MCU since the Tesseract disintegrated him in Captain America, but maybe that's a storyline for the long-awaited solo movie Marvel should definitely make.
