10 MCU Loose Ends That Drive Fans Crazy

8. Did Mac Gargan Ever Try And Find Spider-Man?

Spider Man Homecoming Mac Gargan Scorpion
Sony Pictures Releasing

One of the sub-villains in Spider-Man: Homecoming was Mac Gargan, who, in the comics, is also known by his supervillain alter-ego: the Scorpion.

This Scorpion factor led many fans to believe that Homecoming was setting Gargan up as the main villain in a future Spidey movie, an idea that was backed up by the mid-credits scene, which showed that he's hell-bent on making the webslinger pay.

But not only have neither of these story paths been utilised in Far From Home or No Way Home, Gargan himself has been completely abandoned, with that prison-set mid-credits scene remaining his last appearance in the MCU.

So what did Gargan get up to next? Did he break out of prison to find Spidey himself, or did he use his "boys on the outside" to do the dirty work for him? Is he still languishing behind bars? Or maybe he escaped in the aftermath of the Snap?

That mid-credits scene made it seem like the filmmakers had a plan for Gargan, but it's been almost five years since Homecoming released, and the villain has yet to make a move. Frankly, that's a waste of a perfectly good Michael Mando.
