10 MCU Loose Ends That Drive Fans Crazy

2. Where Are The Ravager Guardians?

A loose end that's quite likely to be addressed is the whereabouts of the Ravager Guardians, last seen in one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's many tags.

This intergalactic team of misfits - led by Sylvester Stallone's Stakar Ogord - felt like they were planted here because writer-director James Gunn had big plans for them further down the line (and it wouldn't make sense to hire a legend like Stallone if you're not going to utilise him). In 2017 - the same year the movie hit cinemas - Gunn even hinted that we haven't seen the last of the Ravager Guardians, but half a decade later, we're still no closer to finding out when or where we'll see them next.

Of course, Gunn's firing in 2018 pushed back plans for the Guardians franchise, and if that hadn't happened, Guardians 3 would've hit cinemas already, and the Ravager Guardians might've made a comeback.

On the plus side, Gunn's rehiring in 2019 put Guardians 3 back on-track for 2023. Reportedly, this movie will be "the end" for the current team of Guardians, which might just mean the Ravager Guardians are about to take centre stage.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
