6. Heimdall's Eyes

What Happened

In Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Scarlet Witch haunted the Avengers with visions to overcome them in battle (and partly to work out their weaknesses). She showed Tony Stark a vision of him witnessing the end of the world, powerless; Black Widow was treated to the nightmare of her own past; and Thor got to see Ragnarok and the coming of Thanos.

Intriguingly, his vision also included Heimdall, blinded (with whit milky eyes), proclaiming Thor the destroyer of Asgard, which is precisely what happened in Ragnarok. But the eyes must have meant something, right?

What it Teased

Who knows. Some thought it suggested that he was empowered by the Soul Stone and Thanos getting it had rendered him blind, but that turned out not to be the case. So it must have had somee signficance, because of how literal the rest of his vision is - but it's unclear what it was supposed to mean.

But Then...

Because Marvel chose to heavily edit the vision scene, it could simply be that Joss Whedon meant something else for it that ended up getting lost in translation.
