SonyWhen you think of the term comic book movie, who, or what, usually pops into your mind? Batman, Iron Mana talking raccoon? Whilst watching a movie the mind is instinctively and inevitably drawn to the story of the main character or protagonist, with the outcome of their undertakings proving to be the thing you care about most by the time the credits roll. Everything else is incidental. Well, what about all those nameless characters that have in some way contributed to the saga of our hero over the years? These guys and girls not only play the bench to the main character, they aren't even in the game. To put it all in perspective, remember in the original Terminator when Arnold Schwarzenegger first travels back in time? When he comes across Bill Paxton and the rest of those weirdos? Arnold would still be walking around Los Angeles naked if he didn't kill those guys and take their clothes. Columbia PicturesWhats a Sam Raimi film without his pal Bruce Campbell? The two made horror history with the Evil Dead trilogy so it only seems fitting that Campbell would contribute, at least in some small way, to Raimi making history with his Spider-Man trilogy. The actor known for his well-defined chin appeared in all three Spider-Man films, each time playing a different nameless character. In the first Spider-Man Campbell had a cameo as a wrestling ring announcer, in Spider-Man 2 he played a rude usher and in the third film he played a French maître d who helps Peter try to propose to Mary Jane. While the characters are all quite different, many fans have theorised that they are actually all the same character just going through different points in his life. Think about it, this guy could have started off working as an underground wrestling announcer but the testosterone and armed robberies were too stressful for him to deal with. He then gets a job at a theater, but he treated the customers like crap and got fired. He then employs the use of a fake French accent and gets a job at an upscale French restaurant. Hey, it could happen. It would explain why his French accent is so terrible.
