10 Memorable Comic Book Movie Moments Involving Nameless Characters

4. Train Fight - Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Columbia PicturesColumbia PicturesMany people claim that Sam Raimi€™s Spider-Man 2 is the greatest Spider-Man film of the entire franchise, and they have good reason to claim that. Aside from the story and the characters the action is completely kick-ass. Nothing showcases this more than the famous train scene. We find Doctor Octopus and Spider-Man battling on a train when Doc Ock gets the idea to start flinging passengers off one at a time (why he doesn't fling several at a time, nobody will ever know). Spider-Man saves these passengers by shooting webs for all of them to fall safely in. Then Doc Ock destroys the controls to the train before he hops off, leaving the train driving uncontrollably into a dead-end. Spider-Man, just by the hairs on his chinny chin chin, stops the train moments before it falls off the edge of an overhang. With his mask now off and practically all of his strength diminished, the citizens of New York carry Spider-Man onto the train. Two little kids return his mask and they all promise they won€™t tell anybody about his secret identity. Then Doctor Octopus shows back up. The nameless New Yorkers threaten that he€™ll have to get through them to get to Spider-Man, which he quite easily does. Hey, at least you can€™t say that all New Yorkers are inconsiderate jerks.
