10 Milestones That Must Happen In The Amazing Spider-Man 3
2. We Want To See J. Jonah Jameson
Two movies down, and not a sign of J. Jonah Jameson - the infernal Daily Bugle editor - in the flesh. Sure, he's been mentioned, but given that the guy is a crucial part of the Spider-Man mythos, it has felt like something has been missing all this time. Rumour has it that director Marc Webb wants actor J.K. Simmons to reprise his role as Spider-Man's iconic nemesis, and we'd be totally open for that; there's nobody better suited for the part, after all. So far the established movies in the franchise have failed to really detail Peter's sideline job as a photographer, and the fact that Jameson has been mentioned but never seen is somewhat jarring; it doesn't make sense that such a larger than life character, presumably one who exists to make Peter's life hell, is being left out of the movie canon. Hopefully Webb will find a way to get Simmons on board, and everything in the universe will be right again.
