10 Mind-Blowing Film Rumours That Turned Out To Be Fake

2. Three Men, A Baby And A Ghost Boy

One of the creepier ghost stories about Hollywood that doesn't involve someone actually dying or the Poltergeist films, the basis for this rumour when Ted Danson's character is talking to his mother in the eponymous blokes' apartment. When she goes to pick up the baby, a still figure can be seen standing behind a curtain behind her. The story goes that this figure is a tragic one; the ghost of a young boy who died in the house where the cast and crew were filming and decided to haunt the highest-grossing movie of 1987 (yes, really). Thing is, the story is about as flimsy as the real reason for its existence. The figure is actually a cardboard cutout of Danson himself which was central to a subplot that was largely cut out of the film. Somewhat less than spooky, then.
