10 Minor Character Deaths That Changed Star Wars FOREVER

The name "Wade Resselian" may not immediately spring to mind when talking about heroic sacrifices in the galaxy far, far away. But it definitely should, because if it wasn't for this pilot's fearless actions during the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, both the titular Jedi Master and a certain Princess Leia may have been doomed.

You see, during Part IV of the show, after managing to find a young Leia within the Fortress Inquisitorius, Tala Durith, Kenobi and the princess are surrounded and look like they are about to be executed by The Third Sister, Reva and a group of stormtroopers.

However, just in the nick of time, Sully Stark and Wade, two members of The Path, swoop in with a pair of T-47 airspeeders to rescue them. But Wade's attempts to distract Reva so Sully had enough time to pick up our heroes ultimately led to his tragic death, with Wade being blown to bits by Reva after she threw an explosive at his ship.

Reva and Darth Vader would still track down Kenobi and co. due to a homing beacon being planted in Leia's droid. But if Wade hadn't risked it all against the enemy here, it very much looked like two franchise icons and a one-time Imperial officer wouldn't have made it out of this fortress alive.
