10 Modern Movies Sure To Become Cult Classics

10. Troll Hunter

The movie: Three film students head out to the remote Norwegian wilds to document the activities of a strange bear poacher, Hans (Otto Jespersen), only to soon discover that bears are the last thing on the reclusive man's mind. When Hans asks them if they're Christian and reveals a UV ray flashlight, they realise that trolls, not bears, are on the agenda. What makes it a potential cult classic: Effortlessly mixing up the found footage genre with the mockumentary, Troll Hunter is a deft, comic exploration of ancient myths and fables with some surprisingly impressive visual effects scattered throughout. Each troll the intrepid team encounter has its own distinct personality, and while the student characters seem a little like stock stereotypes at times, Jespersen - a comedian - brings the hunter Hans to life with charismatic distinction.
