10 Modern Slasher Horror Movie Villains That Went Unnoticed

4. The Cloyne - Clown

Long before Jon Watts directed the MCU Spider-Man trilogy, he made a little film called Clown. The story begins with a boy called Jack preparing for his birthday party. When the party clown cancels, Jack's father, Kent, is worried his son's birthday will be ruined. Out of desperation, Kent suits up in a clown outfit and puts on a show for the kids.

When the festivities come to an end, Kent notices he can't take his clown suit off. Not only that, the costume begins merging with his flesh.

Upon investigation, he discovers the outfit is made from the body of a Cloyne demon. Since Kent draped himself in the Cloyne's remains, he's become the demon's host, compelling him to eat children.

Because "evil clown suit" is a dumb premise, you might suspect this film is a parody, in the same vein as Killer Clowns from Space.

But that is not the case. Watching Kent gradually lose his mind, body, and soul to the Cloyne is deeply unpleasant. Because Kent is a victim, you can't help feeling bad for him, which makes it all the more distressing when The Cloyne compels him to do unspeakable things.
