3. Dr. Selvig€™s Chalkboard - Thor: The Dark World

Like the map in Iron Man 2, the blackboard used by Dr Selvig in the second Thor movie opens up the possibility for many future stories. Some of these haven't even been revealed, others may turn up in the recently announced Phase 3 movies. There are two subjects in particularly that might excite fans and act as a clever piece of foreshadowing for what is to come. The nine realms were noted and discussed heavily in that movie; Thor and Malekith travelled through a number of those during their climatic fight. Of particular interest to fans was the firery realm Muspelheim, ruled by Surtur, who is expected to be the primary villain in Thor: Ragnarok. Less obvious but potentially the set up for greater things was the reference to the 616 Universe - our universe. Other alternate realities were suggested; could that foreshadow future cinematic events? There have been rumours of Spider-Man heading back to Marvel in some form; what if the universe we have seen with Andrew Garfield€™s web slinger is one of those alternate Earths? Perhaps through Dr Strange and his mystic arts, perhaps through some other cosmic power, these realities could cross over with other Marvel superhero franchises. Wolverine meeting Hulk? It could happen,
