After announcing herself as an acting force not to be trifled with in that aforementioned Bradley Cooper-directed outing, A Star is Born's Lady Gaga set her sights on an entirely new and much more difficult challenge in fully embodying the life and body of Patrizia Gucci in Ridley Scott's House of Gucci.
In order to play the real-life figure known for being at the centre of a murder plot against her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci, Gaga went all in on the part, refusing to drop Patrizia's accent for the entirety of the shoot and even bringing "the darkness with (her) home because her life was dark.”
Things got so intense for the deeply committed thespian that she even admitted to having a psychiatric nurse with her towards the end of the shoot, revealing, “I sort of felt like I had to. I felt that it was safer for me.”
But even with this degree of fierce dedication and immersion, Gaga still couldn't earn any Oscars acclaim when the time came for nominations to be announced recently, with House of Gucci in general being largely snubbed outside of a Makeup and Hairstyling nod.
