10 More Completed Movies You Will Never See

2. I Love You Daddy

Coyote vs Acme Cancelled

After directing, writing, and producing a successful TV series, Louie C.K.'s next step was pretty obvious - directing, writing, and producing his own movie. In I Love You, Daddy, CK plays a TV writer whose life turns upside-down when his daughter dates an elderly filmmaker with a dark past.

Though the black comedy was all set for a worldwide release, everything came crashing down after CK was accused of sexual misconduct. Weeks before the premier, all release plans for CK's directorial debut were scrapped. Though I Love You, Daddy was presented at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film has never been officially released.

Now, a movie isn't guaranteed to be cancelled just because a cast member is accused of misconduct (as The Flash proves).

However, it was wise to bury I Love You, Daddy, since the narrative had disturbing parallels to Louie CK's misbehaviour. A large part of the story revolves around a sexual predator who keeps making unwanted advances towards a young woman. It doesn't help how the trailer ends with the line, "Everybody's a pervert. I'm a pervert. We're all perverts. Who cares?"

For these reasons, it's easy to understand why this project was binned altogether.
