10 More Criminally Underrated Monster Movies You Need To See

4. Black Sheep

Black Sheep revolves around an ovinophobic called Henry who's forced to face his fear when his hometown is terrorised by killer sheep.

If you're wondering if this horror-comedy is as crazy as it sounds, it's not. Somehow, it's way crazier. Not only do these genetically engineered farm animals devour anyone they encounter, their bite transforms their victims into sheep zombies. And like any B-movie worth its salt, the film concludes with a showdown against a super-sheep. (I mean, we would've been deeply disappointed if it didn't.)

Even though Black Sheep never takes itself too seriously, the flesh-eating ewes are much scarier than you'd imagine. Because the special effects were handled by the same company behind The Lord of the Rings' Gollum, these balmy critters look surprisingly authentic, making their killing spree more horrifying. The movie also spends a sizeable chunk of time setting up the main characters, which makes you much more invested when these wooly beasts tear them to pieces.

If you're looking for a monster flick that's horrifying, ridiculous, and hilarious, Black Sheep will feel like it was made for you.
