10 More Film Secrets That Were Hiding In Plain Sight

6. Eddie's Clown Training Lets Him Kill The Weasels - Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Near the end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, hero Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) performs a goofy vaudeville-esque slapstick routine, injuring himself in comically over-the-top fashion in order to make the Toon Patrol - a gang of weasels - laugh themselves to death.

Yet Eddie's pratfalls didn't just come out of nowhere - they were surreptitiously set up earlier in the film when we catch a brief glimpse of a photo on Eddie's desk showing himself and his brother as children, on the road with their father who was a clown for the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey circus.

Given that the picture even shows young Eddie himself dressed up as a clown, it's reasonable to deduce that this is where he honed his unexpected penchant for physical comedy - as ultimately served him so well decades later, allowing him to rescue Roger (Charles Fleischer) and Jessica Rabbit (Kathleen Turner).
