Gentle-giant Hagrid was Harry Potter's first foray into the world of magic, and across the next seven years became one of his closest allies. Played by the imposing Robbie Coltrane - Hagrid was a performance that literally towered over the rest.

Outside of witchcraft and wizardry, Coltrane played Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky in two of Pierce Brosnan's Bond outings, and most famously Dr. Eddie "Fitz" Fitzgerald in 1990's gritty cop-drama Cracker.

At a seemingly average 6'1", Coltrane would have to get back into his Hagrid costume for a part in Thrones. With the departure of Ian Whyte's Wun Weg Wun Dar Wun (Wun Wun), there is plenty of room at Jon Snow's side to fill the 'giant' void left behind.
