You can always count on the Looney Tunes to attract some bizarre special guests. This is the same crew that made a comedy movie starring a bunch of NBA players, Dennis from Jurassic Park, and Bill Murray.

In the 2004 cinematic pinnacle that is Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and their two human companions (Brendan Fraser and Jenna Elfman) find themselves in Area 52.

You read that right - Area 52.

Whilst there, the facility is overrun by Marvin the Martian and a legion of his fellow extra-terrestrials, some of whom will be well-known to fans of early sci-fi horror.

One of the rampaging monsters is the title character from 1951's The Man From Planet X, which is about an alien visitor to a remote Scottish village. Also present is a Triffid from Day of the Triffids, a 1961 film about murderous plants. There's also an appearance from actor Kevin McCarthy, reprising his role as Dr. Miles Bennell from Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Even the movie's director has ties to the horror world, as Looney Tunes: Back in Action was helmed by Joe Dante, the man behind the camera on Gremlins.
