10 More Horror Movies That Gave Fans EXACTLY What They Wanted (And They Hated It)

9. It Chapter 2 Attempted To Fix THAT Spider Problem

The two-part It miniseries of the '90s is absolutely mesmerising for the bulk of its runtime. However, one element of this ABC production that forever soured horror hounds, was the final battle between Pennywise and the Losers Club - with those criticisms lambasting the villain's spider-esque form.

Simply put, that final form for Pennywise looked absolutely awful.

So, Andy Muschietti's It Chapter Two did its very best to fix the issue of having a crappy-looking spider beast at its conclusion. The problem is, that 2019 movie served up something somehow even worse than what was seen on TV screens back in 1990.

Rather than a practical effects-based creature, the more recent adaptation of Stephen King's classic went the CGI route to give us a hodge-podge part-spider, part-crab beast with a ropey digital clown head. In trying to fix the biggest problem with its predecessor, Muschietti's take on It fell flat at its conclusion.

Of course, certain elements of King's wider work are simply not adaptable for a live-action setting, and the end to the iconic author's It is seemingly one such element.
