10 More Movie Mistakes You Can’t Believe You Didn’t Spot
1. Invisible Arrows - The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers
Ending with possibly the closest thing to movie battle perfection you'll ever see on a big-screen, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers concludes with one of the most explosive, moving, and exhilarating wars ever experienced by we mortal humans.
As the likes of the brave Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas help the forces of men and elves retreat from the incoming Uruk-hai looking to break through Helm's Deep's walls during this near-perfect sequence, though, there is a just-about-visible little flaw that has somehow gone unnoticed by the average Rings lover even after their 40th Extended Edition marathon.
In case you weren't aware, many of the archers seen firing out projectiles here weren't actually doing that on the day. That many folks shooting out real arrows in different directions is a recipe for disaster, and so CGI arrows were simply added in after the scenes were shot... most of the time.
In the case of one silly-looking human warrior shooting at the enemy from up high, however, it seems the VFX team awkwardly forgot to add in the digital arrows needed to make it look like they weren't just pretending to be an archer in the middle of this intense war. And now you'll never unsee this poor soul shooting out imaginary arrows.
Fake it, 'til you make it, right?
