Look no further than the likes of Sylvester Stallone being rushed to the ICU on the back of one particularly nasty body shot and Michael B. Jordan genuinely taking a smack to the face from a genuine boxer in Rocky IV and Creed, respectively, for examples of actors being made to legitimately feel the pain.

And joining that collection of suffering thespians in recent times was none other than Bruised star and director Halle Berry, with the star who was applauded for said work in front of and behind the camera getting legitimately smashed by a UFC Champion during the shoot.

As revealed by Berry to Jimmy Kimmel, Flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko was reluctant to let fly at the acting star early on when filming fight sequences. Then, after Berry convinced her to unleash her true power, "she gave it to me and she broke two ribs."

Determined not to slow up filming, though, Berry kept her injury quiet for three whole days before actually going to the hospital to get checked out.
