10 More Movies That Accidentally Filmed Things You Weren't Supposed To See
8. Ghost Boy - Three Men & A Baby
Back in 1987, Three Men and a Baby took the cinematic world by storm. The movie featured some of the biggest names of the time, and grossed more than the multiple-Oscar-nominated Fatal Attraction. However, its biggest story had nothing to do with its success, or even anything to do with the plot.
The film, in which Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, and Ted Danson's characters all came together to raise a child, featured a scene that seemingly showed a young boy in the background who had no right being there. If the rumours and legends were to be believed, the scene featured a ghost.
As Jack (Danson) and his mother walked through the house holding the baby, behind a curtain there can very clearly be seen a young boy who many believed at the time to be a ghost. Some thought that the child had died of natural causes, while others believed he had taken his life, but almost all agreed that the set of the movie was haunted.
The truth, as explained by Jimmy Fallon when Tom Selleck was a guest on The Tonight Show, was that the image was actually a cardboard cutout of Danson's character from a scene that was ultimately cut. The prop was accidentally left in the background of a scene and ended up causing one of the biggest urban legends in film history.
