6. The Turtles Are The Same Ones From The First Rocky - Creed II

If you've seen the original Rocky more than a few times, you'll probably remember that he ends up buying a pair of pet turtles, Cuff and Link.

And if you kept your eyes peeled while watching Creed II last year, you may have even noticed that Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) still appears to have the very same turtles in his apartment.

But what's more surprising is that, indeed, these really are the same turtles in both movies, which are now around 45 years old, as confirmed by Sly on Instagram last year.

The turtles aren't in fact owned by Stallone as rumoured, but he was able to borrow them back from the pet store which originally hired them out for Rocky back in 1976, lending a most unexpected piece of continuity between the bookending franchise films.

Fascinatingly, turtles have famously long lifespans of up to around 80 years, so there's a very real possibility that at least one of the pair could end up outliving the 72-year-old actor himself.
