10 More Terrible CGI Moments In Big Budget Movies

7. Will Smith Collides With An Odd Version Of Himself - Gemini Man

There were a number of moments during Ang Lee's 2019 big-budget sci-fi thriller Gemini Man where the promise of Will Smith believably battling against a younger version of himself was actually delivered on.

The nighttime exchange between the two Brogans where the older version explains to his younger self that he's actually a clone is about as remarkable a piece of CGI as anything you've likely been stunned by over the last five years.

But the same sadly cannot be said for a few other daylight occurrences.

On top of an often unbelievable motorbike chase that involves the older Brogan being comically walloped into a car by his heavily-animated clone, the film's closing scene also contains a CGI moment so appalling, it's borderline uncomfortable.

With young 'Junior'/Jackson Brogan enrolling into college, Harry chooses to stop by and say hello to his rather horrifying counterpart. But what could have been a touching moment between the two was hugely undermined by Jackson looking completely dead behind the eyes, and like an unsettling cartoon when standing in direct sunlight.

There were certainly a number of CGI hits to be found in this ambitious project, but the occasional de-ageing misses were sometimes the stuff of nightmares.
