10 More Times Horror Movie Villains Chose Not To Be Evil

Paul W.S. Anderon's Resident Evil franchise is filled to the gills with reprehensible villains like Albert Wesker, Major Cain, and Dr. Isaacs. However, if there is a single entity that you'd expect to be wicked to the core, it's gotta be the big bad of Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Nemesis.

First off, just look at this guy. Armed with a rocket launcher and a mini-gun, this Uber-zombie lays waste to anything he lays his singular eye on. Secondly, he was designed to destroy his creators' enemies, making him the most efficient killing machine possible.

He may be an ugly son of a gun with a hefty kill count, but Nemesis proves to be not all bad. Just as the lead heroine, Alice, is about to finish Nemesis off in the third act, she realises he's a mutated version of her old friend, Matt. Alice's moment of clarity reawakens Matt's personality, allowing him to take control of Nemesis' body. He then turns on his creators, giving Alice and her friends enough time to escape the zombie-filled city.

Matt took many innocent lives as Nemesis, but he made the right decision when it counted most.
