10 Most Anticipated Horror Movies Of 2022

1. Nope

The Black Phone
Universal

Release Date - July 22nd

Nope is one of the most anticipated films of 2022, purely because it's being helmed by Jordan Peele. With the Oscar-winning comedian writing, producing, and directing this enigmatic project, fans are dying to know what Peele has cooked up next.

We may not know anything about the plot but that hasn't stopped people from guessing. The poster depicts a decorative flag string flying from a brightly lit town, into an ominous dark cloud. Because flag strings are a common decoration in festive celebrations, it's possible Nope will be set or partially set at a carnival or circus. The looming cloud gives a sense the story could revolve around extra-terrestrials or an apocalyptic event. Since Peele's previous work, Get Out and Us, were filled with social commentaries about race and divisions in society, it's likely the director will delve into similar themes yet again.

Since the film premiers in a few months, a trailer is sure to be released soon. Although this should end the speculation of Nope's premise, it's likely a teaser will just add to it.
