10 Most Badass Movie Hitmen

4. Jules Winnfield - Pulp Fiction

John Wick Image Keanu Reeves
Miramax Pictures

Perhaps the coolest customer on this list, Samuel L Jackson’s Jules is, as his own wallet describes, one bad mother f*cker. For the most part he’s a slick, affable funny guy who is happy to chat about the finer things in life with you.

However when it comes time to do his job, the switch is flicked and he becomes a dead-eyed psychopath who will regale you with bible verses while he blasts you away. The legendary scene where Jules recounts Ezekiel 25:17 to a terrified Brett remains as powerful and hypnotic to this day with Jackson's intense performance giving his character a terrifying edge.

John Travolta’s Vincent is another candidate for this list, but he tends for the most part to just follow Jules’ lead. Plus he has the whole heroin addiction thing which can only hold him back professionally in the long run. Jules shows repeatedly that he isn’t a man you want to mess with, and if he wants a bite of your burger, you best just give him one.
