10 Most Consistently Boring Actors In Hollywood
7. Nicolas Cage
Francis Ford Coppolas nephew had a lot of potential when he first came to the attention of cinema audiences. Raising Arizona, Wild at Heart and his Oscar-winning role in Leaving Las Vegas showed us a talent that made him exciting to watch. He even changed his name to Cage from Coppola to avoid people thinking that he got roles through nepotism.
But after a run of mediocre movies that began with 8mm, Cages performances now range from mediocre to flat-out prompting ridicule. He might star in commercial hits like National Treasure, but you could hardly call it a noteworthy performance, and for a rare critically applauded performance such as in the The Weather Man, we have to put up with rubbish like Drive Angry.
Almost bored with his job to the point of not trying, Cage is no longer an actor to pay attention to. His fall from grace even prompted Sean Penn to say that he thought Nicolas Cage was no longer an actor.
He might be dull to watch but he does give us performances so crap that they make great montage videos, performances like his universally lambasted role as Edward Malus in the remake of The Wicker Man.
