7. Lucker the Necrophagous (1986)
It is time to take a break from Italian madness and move our attentions to a prime slice of Belgian puke fest. This gross out movie - Lucker the Necrophagous- was made in 1986 and directed by one Johan Wandewoestijne. Now I'm running the risk of being accused of favouring necro-nookie as this is the second film on the list to deal with the thorny subject of necrophilia, but I can assure you my interest is merely professional. The protagonist of our film is Lucker, a necrophiliac serial killer who has escaped from a psychiatric ward. He is intent on finishing off one of his victims who survived his prior onslaught, and what follows is the silent Lucker running amok on our screen, killing women in a brutal but unconvincing and poorly staged manner. What elevates Lucker the Necrophagous from run of the mill terrible slasher to notorious gross out spectacle is the protagonist's treatment of his dead victims. Not content with sending them to their maker, he subjects their dead bodies to all sorts of vile sexual perversions. What makes this worse is that he leaves the bodies until they are somewhat ripe - like the lady above - before he cavorts with them. This is a film totally without merit - it exists purely to shock and disgust - and it is entirely inept in its execution and lacks any kind of directorial finesse. One for 14 year old boys to snigger at on a sleepover or lovers of incredibly perverted cinema.
