10 Most Disappointing Horror Movies Of 2015 - Ranked

8. I Spit On Your Grave: Vengeance Is Mine

In what should€™ve been called Thrice Spit On Your Grave, the first film€™s female survivor returns and faster than you can say €œwhopping contrivance€, she€™s hunting down the creeps that killed her friend. Whatever your opinion of Steven Monroe€™s decision to remake a movie Roger Ebert described as €œsick, reprehensible and contemptible€, you have to concede that his 2010 movie (and, to a lesser extent, its 2013 sequel) was reasonably effective. Miller didn€™t direct this one, which reduces its lead character to what Charles Bronson became in the Death Wish sequels €“ a cypher who kills the the bad guys not because he has a believable motive, but because the cheap thrill seekers in the audience expect it. In both films, you can spot the bad guys easily enough because you know they€™re evil just by looking at them.
