10 Most Disturbing Endings In Recent Horror Movies
8. Skinamarink
Skinamarink begins with siblings Kevin and Kaylee awakening in their house, only to learn their father is missing. Stranger still, all the windows and doors have vanished. As the pair try to escape, an unseen entity starts tormenting them.
Kyle Edward Ball's experimental chamber piece is not for everybody. With its barebones plot, minimal dialogue, glacial pacing, and static shots, it's easy to see why Skinamarink doesn't have universal appeal.
Whether viewers love or hate Skinamrink, they'll be encouraged to see this micro-budget indie to the end, just to see where this is all going. But after watching the conclusion, everyone is sure to be left with more questions than answers.
In the climax, Kevin seems to glides on the ceiling of a never-ending hallway. A text suddenly appears, reading "572 Days", indicating the children have been trapped in their warped house for this long.
While Kevin screams, blood spatters, disappears, and reappears on the floor. As the entity finally reveals itself, it asks Kevin to go to sleep. Kevin asks for the supernatural being's name, but it doesn't respond.
Make what you wish of that WTF ending.
