10 Most Disturbing Saw Movie Traps

The Needle Pit is one of the few non-lethal traps (at least, in the short term) in the entire franchise, but it still has a special place in the heart of many a Saw fan.

The inhabitants of the Nerve Gas House have to win antidotes from personalised tests, and drug dealer Xavier's test involves a pit of used needles, which he has to dig through to find a key to a nearby vault which holds his dose.

This would be disturbing enough, but instead of doing this himself he throws the film's final girl/Jigsaw's apprentice, ex heroin addict Amanda, into the pit to find the key for him.

What's brilliant about this trap is the simplicity. There's no fancy contraptions or complicated machinery, it plays on our visceral fears of needles and disease, and Amanda's screams will haunt you.
