10 Most Drastic Character Transformations Between Movies

2. Thor - Avengers: Infinity War & Avengers: Endgame

If we're getting into technicals here, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is still his chiseled, sexy self for all of about 10 minutes in Avengers: Endgame, but let's face it - Endgame's prologue is really more of a post-script to Infinity War.

For the remaining 90% of the movie, the gorgeous Asgardian less resembles a sculpted God than he does the Big Lebowski, a five-year depressive bout causing him to become a gluttonous alcoholic with an undulating gut, unkempt hair and "comfy" clothes to match.

"Bro Thor", as is his official Marvel designation, was a massive surprise for unsuspecting fans, with Marvel making pains to digitally remove him from trailers to ensure the lid remained tight until the big reveal.

Opinion may be split on Bro Thor, particularly in terms of "fat representation", but as an externalisation of the demi-God's immense internal anguish, having lost basically everyone who truly meant something to him, it's really quite brilliant.

If you ever had trouble relating to Thor, this really helped bring him down to Earth in a tangible and believable way.
