10 Most Embarrassing Film Debuts From The Marvel Cinematic Universe Cast

8. James Spader - Team-Mates

Chris Evans Then Now

Anyone brave enough to complete the 8th season of the US version of The Office can easily imagine James Spader getting plastered and making bad decisions. Still, it's something special to see the fresh-faced actor whooping it up as a stereotypical frat boy long before he provided the voice of Ultron.

The film itself is a pretty average screwball teen comedy. Vicki, a high school senior who recently caught her boyfriend (who happens to be the captain of the football team) tries out for the team herself to get back at him. Nothing about it makes a ton of sense, but that's okay, because none of it has much to do with Spader's character, Jimmy "the Birthday Boy".

But then, Jimmy has nothing to do with the movie in general. He only shows up during his own "raucous" birthday party, which is intercut with scenes of his mother talking him up to all her friends as a responsible young man. The party is supposed to be debauched, but isn't. He just drinks some punch and passes out into his birthday cake. Jimmy's not exactly Bluto.

But look at that beautifully feathered hair.
