After Craig (Ice Cube) beats up the neighborhood bully in 1995s Friday he is sent to go live with his Uncle Elroy (Don "D.C." Curry) until things cool down a little bit. See, Craig is from South Central LA and things are pretty rough around there. Uncle Elroy grew up there as well but he officially high tailed it out of there after winning the lottery and moving to Rancho Cucamonga. Though, as the saying goes, you can take a person out the hood but you most definitely cannot take the hood out of that same person. And that's certainly the case with Uncle Elroy. After Elroy won the lottery, his wife died from a heart attack from excitement, and Elroy moved himself and his son Day-Day (Mike Epps) to their new cozy estate. He went and got himself a new much younger girlfriend named Shuga (Kym Whitley) and now wears fancier clothing such as Versace (spelled F-O-Sachi).
