10 Most Epic Moments From Godzilla Vs. Kong
9. Entering Hollow Earth
As the last entry proved, this movie's epic moments were not limited to the giant beasts duking it out.
There had been plenty of talk about Hollow Earth in the previous instalments, with King of the Monsters even showing a glimpse of it. However, this movie exposed the alternative landscape in an entirely new way, bringing it to life as a massive setting and even introducing some interesting gravity connotations.
Entering the world itself was fascinating, as the expedition team travelling through the gate felt like something out of 2001 A Space Odyssey. The visuals were strong, as the neon-light show that depicted their transcendence was mesmerising and displayed just how strange this new world would be.
Then, the film gave fans what they wanted by showing some unique beasts who took shots at Kong and the new arrivals. These flying snake-like creatures - known as Warbats - looked awesome, and seeing Kong tear through them and devouring one's head indeed showed how he was King of Hollow Earth - even if he did benefit from some human intervention.
