7. Luke Vs. Darth Vader - Return Of The Jedi
The entire original trilogy of Star Wars comes down to this fight.
When the Emperor sees Luke as a more valuable apprentice than Vader, he pits them against each other in hopes killing his father will turn Luke. Despite being our hero, Luke comes dangerously close to falling to the Dark Side.
Throughout the fight, Luke is more offensive than we've ever seen him. He tries to stop himself, saying he won't fight Vader, but the Siths' taunts only make Luke more and more aggressive. Once Vader mentions wanting to turn Leia to the Dark Side, Luke snaps, going berserk and slashing at his father more powerfully than ever.
When he is only seconds away from killing Vader, he slashes off his hand, revealing that it, like his, is animatronic. This allows Luke to see himself in Vader, and he tosses away his lightsaber so as not to become him.
The entire fate of the galaxy hinges on this fight, and it shows.
