Michael Madsen was Quentin Tarantino's muse for a while, and you can certainly see why after his menacing performance as the black-haired Mr. Blonde. The worst thing about it is that Mr. Blonde is actually quite likeable - he's handsome, and he's the epitome of cool.

However, deep down, he's still a coldhearted killer who seemingly enjoys inflicting pain on his subjects. Something that is seen in the slow torturing of the poor police officer, Marvin Nash.

Even worse, Mr. Blonde doesn't even need to torture him, proudly proclaiming, "...I'm gonna torture regardless. Not to get information. It's amusing, to me, to torture a cop."

Then, from nowhere, Tarantino pulls out one of the most sadistic scenes in film history, set to a song that will forever be associated with a knife and police officer's ear.

Although Mr. Blonde eventually got his comeuppance he still shocked audiences worldwide, informing them of what was yet to come.
