10 Most Exciting Comic Book Movie Revelations From Comic-Con 2014

10. The Thing In Fantastic Four Reboot

We learnt nothing about the as yet untitled Fantastic Four reboot from 20th Century Fox€™s Comic-Con panel. The studio made no mention of the Josh Trank-directed film which will attempt to revive the franchise after the tepidly received 2005 and 2007 movies. Despite this disappointing omittance from the studio€™s panel, fans received a huge revelation surrounding the reboot as Justified Films posted an image of the Thing. The transformed Ben Grimm looks rather less cartoony than in the previous two Fantastic Four films with not only a scowl on his face but also what looks to be a darker shade of rock. This could potentially mean that this third film following the four superheroes will be a more adult package overall, tackling more harrowing themes. The image is likely an on-set sculpture that the effects crew use as a visual reference to insert the character digitally. The forgettable previous two films have meant that Josh Trank€™s effort isn't as highly anticipated as some other future marvel releases; this image of Thing will surely drum up more excitement.
